I installed a wall switch in 4 of our rooms. They were all installed by a certified and insured electrician. As you move the levers of the light switch, it acts like a recessive light, gliding up and down smoothly. But not for fan control. As you move the fan lever, you will hear a click at each speed you switch to. And if you have a fan on and just want to turn it off and just slide it down, you'll hear clicks and see electrical sparks inside the switch. This happens on all 4 switches! So I'm extra careful and raise the fan lever one notch at a time to avoid creating electrical sparks. And I'm curious. is it the same for others? Should I get another switch?
