Impact wrenches and drills have narrower bodies than my Craftsman V20 set. This is good when you need to use these tools in a limited space. They're comfortable to hold and use, although I prefer the rubber grip on the front of the handle. Both tools have variable speed triggers that adjust speed depending on how hard you pull the trigger. Both have LED indicators that light up for about 15-20 seconds after you take your finger off the triggers...this seems to be a common feature of these new tools, and it makes a lot of sense. Two 20V batteries so you can power both tools at the same time or charge one while using the other. Batteries have a button with a three-part LED display that shows the charge level. They came with a charging LED, but they charged quickly, just over an hour and a half at a time. These batteries are common to Powerworks 20V cordless tools, allowing you to swap batteries between them if needed. The charger is just a connector that fits over the battery contacts with two charging status LEDs. I prefer chargers with a desktop base that the battery snaps into, but this charger works as intended. Another reviewer posted a video of the sparks you get from the motor brushes when you pull the trigger. You also smell ionized air from these sparks (strong electrical smell). Some people react to air ionization, so in that case you might want to look at another brand. Even compared to my cheaper Black and Decker 18v cordless drill, the motor spark seems excessive. My Craftsman V20 kit doesn't have brushes so they don't spark. This is a great set for weekend chores or as a gift for friends or family who use these tools from time to time. The professional who uses these tools on a daily basis will do better with real "professional" tools.
