I bought this cable from Car Quest, it's a lot cheaper here. I was disappointed that the exact length I needed was no longer available. Only 3 lengths are currently available. My 1976 Ford F150 with regular cab, 8ft bed, partial 4WD and manual transmission used an 82" cable. This length therefore requires a corresponding forwarding. When the speedo end was installed I was unable to install the gearbox. The internal cable was too long. Each end is square shaped to fit the head of the speedometer and the end of the gearbox. If the square end at the end of the transfer was longer I could cut it off and get it working. I could try, but then I wouldn't be able to return it if it doesn't work. The easiest way to replace them is to remove the gear end first and then the speedometer head. When installing a new one, install the speedometer end first, then the transmission end.
