Cheap materials cheap production

If like me you need a modern stand at an affordable price then at first glance they seem good. I didn't research where they were made and unfortunately that was my fault. I really can't expect much from this product. After all, it was made in China. When reassembling, the screw threads are terrible, causing some of the foot screws to screw in fully or only partially, causing balance issues on the stands themselves. The aluminum tubing is very thin, so the inner support rod is about a quarter inch thick threaded steel rod. The holes in the glass panels are about half an inch in diameter, and there are no plastic mounts to make up for the difference in distance from the bar. So it's best to look at the washers as you tighten them to make sure they don't go crooked. . Still, one of the bars was poorly threaded, causing one of my posts to twist slightly. Also, and less conspicuously, the edge of one of the glass panes wasn't polished, leaving a rough surface on that side. I tucked this stand on the side of the sofa to make it hard to see. The other was fine. Unfortunately I paid too much for them. That's not the $70 I paid for it. They would have been a better fit at $35.00 because that's about the amount of effort manufacturers have generally put into it. At the moment they are good, but they are not wards and if I find something better, they will be removed quickly.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • It's hard to remember but it was
