What I like about it is that all my knives work except cleaver. At first it seemed too short for 300mm knives, but add 2 jaws from the end to support the handle and you're good to go. Thick 5 mm spiked knives, even if they are short, are not a problem because the slats bend. It's true that a two-tiered design is better suited to smaller knives, but they'll work just as well, just less elegantly. The design also promotes good airflow, reducing the risk of corrosion of the nozzle blades. In every respect the best compromise for a boxed solution at a small price.
