If you have any doubts about whether it's steel or as heavy as ACDelco, don't hesitate. It's magnetic and constructed the same as the one I took off. Now that I think about it, there was one small thing. There are two holes at the top of the ankle. The left one has a thread, the right one doesn't. With the new steering knuckle from Dorman it's the other way around. Dorman cut the right thread but not the left. Simple fix, I just drilled a new hole in the bracket and used the same screw in the new location. Problem solved. Everything came back the way it was. PS I bought this used because it's just a piece of steel and the price is much better. I suspect the reverse threading of the bracket holes is the reason for the return.
