Review on Glencairn Whiskey Glass by Stolzle by Lisa Price

Due to the relatively small size and slightly expensive look I wasn't really sure I would like this glass so I only ordered two of these at first. Now after using it for a few months I think I like it so much that I have ordered two more. I have a shelf full of glasses that I could use for single malt whiskey including Riedel Vinum, crystal glasses, small crystal cognac glasses and white wine glasses. That said, I still reach for a glass of Glencairn most of the time. It feels good in the hand, is stable when you lower it and really brings out the color and shine of your whiskey. Most importantly, its shape concentrates flavors and allows you to really appreciate the differences between Scotch. I especially like its size when I want to taste a small amount of whiskey, like an ounce or less. While I can enjoy whiskey from almost any glass, these Glencairn glasses have definitely increased my love for fine single malts.
