Looking at their design we assumed they would perform better than other options on the market. We bought these for use in a mini washer/van washer because the reviews say their lint collectors suck. We found that the loud thumping noises we heard weren't the machine's fault, it was actually these little balls banging against the walls of the washing machine. In a real washing machine this might not be a problem, but in a car with wheels we removed them after the first load and will never use them again. The interior is made of hard plastic, which probably makes them durable, but also beats a small car. They also didn't pick up any of my dog's hair during a test run of his towels.
