I was arguing between this Rokinon and the Olympus 12 f/2. The main differences are SP and price. I have several Rokinon/Samyang lenses and have always found them excellent. This one is no exception. For a wide angle, autofocus isn't that important. So I tried Olympus Rokinon in less than 1/2. Optically it is excellent even with an open aperture. Sharpness is very even across the frame. I think it's because this lens is designed for larger sensors. It also means I have a lot more flexibility in terms of ISO or shutter speed. Like other Rokinons, this lens is well built and durable. The focus ring is smooth and offers good resistance. The diaphragm feels crisp and firm. The only small issue is that the mount is not as smooth as other Olympus or Panasonic lenses I have. October 18, 2017 Update This is an update after a long period of use. Here are a few recent photos. The sharpness and resolution are simply amazing. The first two were hand-held with the shutters wide open. The latter was on a tripod with an f/8.0 aperture. Manual focusing was very easy.
