The thought of opening up a tower computer was no fun, but I can assure you almost everyone has the right PS (this is an Inspiron 3847 unit) easy and can install with minimal knowledge. Just unplug the current power cord, remove the side of the tower and take a picture of the four connection points, remove the screws (the latch is on the case where the cords come out of the old unit, push it just put it in) and hold it in place and reinsert the old unit. takes no more than 15 minutes.
