This rug is not a regular rug as its underside is more like a bath rug and does not roll but folds. high. I love that it came in a little air shrink wrap which made home delivery so easy. Once you open the packaging, it billows quickly and unfolds easily on the floor. Because it's not folded, it doesn't roll around the edges - it lays nicely and evenly on the floor straight away, which is nice. It looks like this feature will make machine washing easier. The different shades of gray are really beautiful, especially when light hits them. In general, it's thinner than a regular carpet, but at the same time, it doesn't feel like it when you walk on it.
