I bought this ring as an extra layer for my wedding bands to honor my daughter whose birthday is in July. The ring is thicker than my bridal set (from the inside of the ring to the outside) so it touches my middle and pinky more but isn't too noticeable. Rubies (they are made in the lab) are pinker than I would like. They better be red. I will update this review after wearing it for a bit to test the sterling if I have any discoloration on the ring or my finger. If not, then you are happy with your purchase. I'm not entirely sure I'd buy another one for $50, but I plan on keeping this one.
