Review on Milton S 577D Digital Pistol Inflator by Jeff Henkhaus

Incredibly low consumption as advertised. It takes EVERYTHING to pump 10 pounds of air into a tire. I've been using Milton inflators for decades with no problems, but the performance of this model is completely unsatisfactory. It literally takes all day to add 10 pounds to six dual wheels. Unless you use it just for bike tires, avoid this model. I'm a retired mechanical engineer so I took it apart to see why it's performing so poorly. I think the biggest problem is that the trigger you pull isn't pushing hard enough on the tip of the valve. If I were to insert the tip of a screwdriver between the trigger and the valve tip I could increase the flow significantly, so this is a quality control design/workmanship defect and I would expect this to be typical of the inflator on this model. I'm sending this one back as defective.
