The hardest part of installing this mirror was removing the parts from the old mirror. Installation requires you to connect the power connector and tighten the three nuts. That's all! Before I got this mirror, I was trying to put a $20 Pep Boys universal mirror on the door. It didn't do the job. A little more and it was perfect. I was even able to salvage a matching shell from an old broken mirror and it snapped securely into place. It's impossible to say that this isn't the original. It comes with its own paint tray, but I didn't need it as the original fitted very well.
