It's big enough for a phone, passport and a small snack or car keys, but small and comfortable enough not to rattle and forget you're there wear it I've been using these straps for a few years now and I particularly like the waterproof one for travel as it's big enough for a passport. My first purchase was to carry my passport to an international marathon where I didn't want to be undocumented. I've used it for the last few years to carry my phone and occasionally ID, credit cards, keys and/or a small snack on long journeys. I usually carry my bag across my waist and tuck it partially into my waist belt to keep it from bouncing around. If I use it often I wear it in the front where it's less prone to bouncing. On the other hand, after a few years, the elastic will start to loosen and wear out, which has been noticeable with a recent replacement purchase, but that's not bad for a piece of sportswear that gets a lot of wear.
