I've been using these towels for drying for years, mainly on my machines and in the shower. They are great for quick drying after a shower, especially for my hair. In good weather, I like to wash the car and dry it with suede. No need to remove streaks or water drips, this towel will remove them all. I rarely keep it in a plastic tube; I let it air dry. It hardens like natural suede. I never noticed any smell on the towels. I sometimes wash them in the washing machine to get rid of dirt. After a few years of use, towels lose some of their absorbency. It's time to buy a new set. These towels do not replace microfiber towels, which are good for picking up dust and dirt and for polishing. These towels are ideal for absorbing water. The Revain version offers the best value for money!
