This is my second time buying this, I completely forgot it's very loud but there is a custom hack to reduce the noise level. I used to buy this for my 55g tank and got rid of it because of its noise. This time I bought it for my 20 gallon tank and chose this one because of its height and the fact that it is angled. Despite running with this in my tank, I could hear loud bubbles upstairs, making it almost impossible to watch TV downstairs. So I decided to remove the height adjustable spout and was immediately amazed by the difference in noise. Now I can watch TV downstairs and sleep well upstairs. Works great in my crab tank, great suction, great surface blending and doesn't take up much space. Can not complain. Pros: size, power, efficiency Cons: very noisy (can be fixed)
