Technical problem ruins frame assembly

A good product that has become obsolete for many modern buyers due to poor engineering. First the good: a light shade of pleasant color and patina. It runs on 4D batteries, which can get expensive with disposables, but work great with rechargeable batteries. The on/off switch is discreet and easy to use (remote control included). The light throw on the drawing is wide, even, and adjustable (although I thought it would give more panache on normal settings and a warm tone). So what's the problem? The PROBLEM is that the hardware isn't very well designed if you plan to attach it to a picture frame. A wall mount could work, but most people I deal with no longer want to do it because it leaves big holes and there is little chance of needing light directly on the counter. Most people I deal with want their art to have floating frames (75% of requests) and maximum flexibility/portability. The hardware just doesn't allow using 2 screws (as required) to attach it to the float frame - the holes are too far apart (one is outside the frame) and there is no cross to alternately juxtapose the screws connect to . Also, cone-head screws don't sink (including those that come with backlights). The designer did not bevel the screw hole to allow the screw to sink and sit flat. It sticks out and disconnects (and scratches the wall). The packaging does not indicate that floating frames are a problem, so the buyer will know that upon arrival. Sometimes it's important to sweat the little things. A 4-5 star product becomes a 2 star product because of the lack of a small but important solution for today's tastes.
