I'm not a knife specialist. . . The chef's knife I used was an inexpensive model. . . But I can definitely say that this is a very good knife and a pleasure to use. The knife is medium weight, the handle has a pleasant, comfortable grip, it feels good in the hand. The blade is very sharp and cuts through vegetables quickly and even cuts through corn on the cob quickly. I was able to easily cut very thin slices, and dicing the garlic and herbs was quick and easy. I am satisfied with both the looks and the performance of this knife.
