Review on 57 2519 3 FIPK Performance Intake System by Juan Russell

You know, as a K&N brand, I expected top quality. I found the tube was deformed, 2 metal brackets were not bent properly, the instructions were limited and the fit was C+. The gas cap is in the way. Once installed, it is clear that removing the air filter for cleaning requires removing 1/2 of the CAI assembly. Not worth the price if you ask me. The only reason I chose this unit over the BBK unit, for example, was because I didn't want the air filter to be hidden in the fender. I wanted it to be open in the engine bay for easy access so I didn't have to disassemble the CAI to remove it. Now all I have to do is disassemble the CAI part to remove the filter. I am considering returning it but apparently I already drilled an 11/16 hole for the air sensor.
