I disagree with these pads because they are very thin and don't look like they could take a direct hit. On the other hand, they also completely cover the knees on the sides. Actually, I was looking for something much more protective and heavier. If you're looking for lightweight pads that can offer you some protection, these are for you. They stay in place, comfortable and fresh. A few weeks ago I fell and they left scratches on my knee. Personally I would go for the POC VPD 2.0, I have the elbow pads and they are amazing, not as expensive as the VPD system. Either way, I'd rather pay $40 more for POC VPD 2.0. For your health.
