Review on πŸš— SENWELL-KA Portable Foldable Car Seat Back Tray with Steering Wheel Tray - Convenient Eating, Drink & Laptop Stand Table for Travel (2 Pack) by Maurice Strawther

Excellent trays; a few kinks

first let me say that the functionality of the tablets is excellent. They work as they should and offer valuable space that a passenger in the back seat doesn't normally have. The tray itself has a drink holder and a small area for snacks. When not in use it snuggles compactly against the back of the seat and comes with additional hardware to attach this tray to the rider's wheels, as well as some cotton rags, rags and a cleaning sponge. The reason I docked the star is the way it folds and shrinks. For starters, the tablets don't come with a manual or instructions, so you'll have to guess how it works. After assembling and installing them, I need to loosen the screws on the top to allow the tray to slide down. That's the problem. You unscrew it just far enough to allow movement, but it doesn't move smoothly. The tray can fall unevenly and eventually get stuck, and you'll either have to loosen it more and risk breaking the bolts/nuts, or pull it up and possibly slap yourself to straighten it and then lower it slowly and evenly. This makes the tray more inconvenient than useful when you have to spend 2-3 minutes slowly lowering it to adjust and screwing it in to tighten and reinsert. Not to mention that to adjust the height, you also have to unscrew and adjust the folding mechanism underneath the tray. Since I use them for my kids, such a problem arises that I'd rather just give them a lap tray than play around with them. Tightening to get the right fit is just too much to handle. Personally I wouldn't buy it for that price. For the price they are sold for they should be quick release bottom and snap/quick release and fold type. Spending around $50 on a couple of trays is too cumbersome.

Pros
  • handy thing
Cons
  • so far so good
