According to the description, this only applies to lens caps that already have a hole. That's true, but unfortunately the compatibility section lists cameras with factory lens caps that *don't* have holes and won't work unless you drill your own. For example, the description incorrectly lists the Sony RX10 Mark 4; This is a camera I just bought so I can tell you with certainty that there is no hole in the lens cap. drilled a tiny hole in the front and then the edge of the lens cover and then fed the drill through both holes at a 45° angle to finish. As you can see in the photo, this created the perfect anchor point with a simple coupler, much more secure than any sticky pad. It didn't appear to damage the spring-loaded grip mechanism inside. Part of the elastic strap slipped easily over the Sony lens mount, but the lens hood needs to be removed first to avoid over-stretching. How reliable the crimp connection between the elastic and the cord is remains to be seen, but I really like it so far. I used to have old glue caps, and yes, the glue does come off over time. I didn't want to risk losing my beautiful factory lens cap.
