This tray served us well on a short trip (3 days) with our cat and I think she liked the privacy, unlike disposable trays which have no lid or filler. go anywhere. But it was quite thin, difficult to clean (difficult to get in and see clearly), and when we got home it was falling apart. It did the job though, but I think next time I'll go with something with a stronger base (I was afraid it would leak so I put it on a big plastic cover to support it) and that my cat isn't able to destroy it that easily (at one point she jumped on it, crushing it momentarily and tearing it apart a bit as it scratched the walls).
