26 inches is almost too small for my dog.
I bought the largest size thinking it would be too big and dangling a bit but it is too tight for my 1 year old Boerboel's neck. Keep this in mind if your dog is still growing like mine. The chain itself seems quite solid which is good but I think I'm concerned about the buckle. A little difficult to open and close. I never walk my beast without a harness around my neck so I'm not worried but let's just say I wouldn't be surprised if my 220 lb monster breaks the chain connector or leash connector which I also bought here .
