I have an old Frigidaire room air conditioner that I use at night so the rest of the house can run in warmer temperatures and save on central air bills. I lost the last of these fiber filters for a long time and was afraid that if I left it without a filter for too long, dust, pet hair etc would clog it up so much it wouldn't work properly, and a workhorse for over 20 years! Then I found this one! Obviously they aren't made for my device but they fit perfectly and I no longer see the 'replace filter' indicator every night. They work like clockwork and the device keeps my room cool all night. The price is definitely reasonable and I can get these six to last a year before having to replace them. They recommend every month, but even if I had old filters, I just rinsed them with dish soap spray, let them dry, and replaced them. I could use one of these for two or three months and I think they are no different. They've proven very handy and God willing I'm hoping to be around for a while to buy more replacements.
