Review on ๐Ÿ”’ WOOCH Hidden RFID Electronic Cabinet Lock for Wooden Cabinet Drawer Cupboard Locker by Seth Shea

Does not open automatically

This lock is a bit deceptive. I bought a gun rack from the manufacturer and after receiving it thought I could build my own to have a second hidden storage space. I bought this lock and after installing it, it wouldn't open no matter what I did. I moved the shelf, took the block, and when I pushed the door, the block opened. What does that mean? When you point the unlock card at the locking mechanism, you activate and unlock the lock. You need to lift the shelf/door slightly to unlock the locking mechanism and the door will then open. This makes matters worse if you're looking for a locking mechanism that simply unlocks and opens the door without any further action. If that doesn't bother you, the lock makes a solid impression and wasn't difficult to assemble. The locking instructions are complicated and confusing. So be prepared to push-pin back the settings a few times until you get the order right. You'll also notice the USB option. I'm not sure how you could include this in the build without revealing that you have a hidden lock. It emerges from the main locking mechanism and is only about 3 inches long. It is also very small and the head is at right angles to the line. This means if you drill a hole in anything to put the power cord through, it has to be the size of a square head, not the size of the power cord. Then there's no way to attach that tiny head to anything. She'll just sit there. Again, the idea of a hidden lock is to be hidden. When that cord dangles, that purpose is lost.
