I have struggled with these wipes for many years when cleaning my car windows. The glass appears to be completely transparent, but then when I drive in bright light or under street lights, I get a lot of streaks. I figured this should be my cleaner as there are so many positive reviews for these towels, so I have Invisible Glass (alcohol), Windex (ammonia), Windex (vinegar) and Mr. Clean (alcohol). They all left the same veil, although after a few washes the situation improved slightly. I always wash these towels alone and never use fabric softener. . It seemed to be doing a good job and when I drove later, no streaks! I've given up on these towels and am trying to figure out what they are for. They don't absorb well and leave streaks. It would be sad to throw them away, but they are basically useless. You didn't scratch the glass, although that's more or less impossible anyway.
