Review on ๐Ÿง‘ Chef Buddy's 2 in 1 Adjustable Wooden Cutting Board with Wire Colander for Over the Sink - A Stainless Steel Strainer Included by Angela Freed

However, it's not perfect.

I read a lot of negative reviews about this cutting board before buying it, but still decided to take a chance. I have an 8x10 foot kitchen with very limited countertop space so a sturdy cutting board over the sink is essential for cooking so I purchased this item. Upon opening the box, I could tell that this board needed some work before it was ready to use. Firstly the wood is quite soft so I don't think it will be a family heirloom passed down from generation to generation but if it lasts a few years I'll be happy. The wood is sanded smooth and, like most wooden chopping boards, untreated, so you'll need to oil it with cooking oil. I chose mineral oil and applied several thick coats, allowing the oil to soak into the wood for 30 minutes between coats. This will make the wood water resistant, which is probably important to prevent warping after a few uses. My kitchen sink is small and this board was small but a bit big. This is where the soft wood proved an advantage, as it was easy to fold into corners with my trusty Swiss Army Knife and round off with a hand file. The wire basket feels flimsy and to be honest I'll probably never use this thing, just popping the bowl in the sink to catch and chop veggies or fruit. After these two modifications, everything works for me.

Cons
