Strong chemical smell and probably not safe to drink. I washed and soaked them to get rid of the smell. I've doused them in hot water and they keep you warm, but the vapor they give off gives me a headache. If this continues, I'll have to send them back. They look good but they leak when filled over the basket and the handle in one of them broke on contact. I would not recommend this product to other buyers. I put 3 because the looks are nice, but it's not fit for the intended purpose.
