This pump is ok but not as good as the competition (ALLYLANG 660GHP) . It lowers the water level to 11mm when the suction cups are removed from the bottom (ALLYLANG reaches 4mm). It's pretty and a plus is that it has a flow regulator on the bottom, but other than that the ALLYLANG pump definitely feels a little beefier. FYI, the pump outlet is 1/2" NPS female (works with 1/2" NPT fittings). I returned these and kept the ALLYLANG because I needed a pump that pumps very little.
