I bought this to protect my laptop keyboard because the keys were showing fingerprints and crumbs and dust got into my keyboard. I ended up just not liking it and never used it. I had a 10 key Lenovo ThinkPad and it successfully covered my keyboard. I didn't like the look and was a little difficult to type. It could have been improved by firmly pressing each key, but it just felt really weird to tap on. There's nothing wrong. It sticks well, has good coverage even with a 10 key and should be effective at keeping out dust and crumbs, I just didn't like the way it looked or felt. This may not bother you, so this could be great for your needs.
