Beautiful to the crack

What a beautiful piece of wood after being treated with beeswax and mineral oil. Oh. mine has a Y shaped tear through and through, dead in the middle. I think if it tears it's a built in defect. I'll admit I won't be using it as a kitchen item, I bought it to sit on an 18" table just to look that good. The delivery from the company was fast and well packaged.
