Just got back from Ireland where I wasn't sure if they use European or UK outlets. Don't worry - it covered both. I mainly used it for USL ports, which came in handy and allowed me to reduce the number of things I had to carry around that could potentially get lost. The main feature is the surge protection. Many other countries in the US use 220V instead of 110V which may damage your item. Therefore, such a **converter** is preferable to a simple male **adapter**. Please note that the use of this converter is limited to small items - phones, laptops, etc. The hair dryer will overcharge and trigger. A recommendation to manufacturers (China): You can ask the editor-in-chief to check your English translations in the manual - some of them are a bit trite.
