I have been using enzyme cleaners on cat pee, hairball vomit and the occasional incident outside of the litter box for about 5 years. This was the first time I have used Smiling Paws professional stain and odor remover. It was 10/13/2020 and I, like a few other customers, was wrong in assuming that this order came with 2 x 128 oz bottles based on the photo, but that wasn't a problem for me, the price was good . What disappointed me is that I couldn't tell that the cleanser contained enzymes, as I can usually find with these types of cleansers where the results are more dramatic. I wondered if the shipment had been exposed to environmental conditions that killed living enzymes before my shipment arrived, but I really didn't have a chance to tell. Also, I was surprised that the gallon bottle of cleaner didn't have a cap. Reading the product description again to see what I must have been missing, I figured it was supposed to be a refill set for small 32 ounce spray bottles. This was normal because I had several very similar products that worked spectacularly. So that I don't forget the name of the product, I kept the bottles in my cleaning cupboard. Well it looks like a pump came with it too, can't tell but didn't get it, quite a bit of product spilled in transit and the box was wet on one side but I have it just didn't feel it I want to complain because the nearest UPS store is not an easy journey for me. I'm going to ask what temperature range supports the living organisms that actually eliminate the urine and ammonia in this product. It may actually work as advertised, but if it were left in a cargo dock or in a truck at 5:00 am in October when it's freezing outside, the cold could kill them. I learned about the role of enzymes and bacteria in preventing animal waste from entering our lakes, rivers, and streams when I was keeping tropical fish, so when I learned that housekeepers at crime scenes use similar organisms to dispose of biological material that been left at crime scenes, and does a great job on pet stains. So if your pet has an accident, look in the right direction. Also, the smell of the product is not bad, I believe it is fresh but not declared enough. My cat seems to be re-staining certain areas so I think I'll try an orange odor remover, but I'd be surprised if people found the smell too strong. I found it soft and when it dries it doesn't last very long.
