I am very happy with these inks! Because they are water soluble, they are easy to clean but take a while to dry (especially if the ink is thick). I've included a photo taken with flash and one without flash to give you a good idea of how rich the colors are in different lighting conditions. On the test square (made of parchment paper), the smeared C in the center is an example of a very thick layer of ink that I allowed to dry for about 20 minutes. As you can see, it smudged slightly, but didn't wash off completely. Other brands either got the same 20 minutes but weren't as heavy, or they dried overnight. In both cases the ink was well fixed and did not smudge when rubbed. If the long dry time isn't a problem for you, I think you'll be very happy with these ink pads!
