Likes it but not perfect

I'm 6'2", 185 lbs, 42.5". Size large fits very well. The sleeves can be a bit short but the elbow pads are in the right place. I bought it for skiing. After a shoulder injury last season I needed extra protection. I originally bought the Demon Flex Force D30 and felt it was really lacking in full/complete coverage. My biggest issue with the Demon was that the shoulder pads didn't protect well from a head-over/forward fall. The front of the shoulder (the humeral head) was not really protected and the pad seemed to be pushed back rather than protecting the shoulder. The demon was also missing the cover on his shoulder. Back at the drawing board I was looking for an armor/pad that seemed to cover the shoulder better and still work well for my skiing application. Troy Lee seemed to have the best overall shoulder coverage (including front and top) of anyone in the category for my purposes. I also like that it has padding/covering almost everywhere where many competing products had large areas with no padding/protection. Overall the Troy Lee fits well, is comfortable and I am happy with it. I would probably buy it again and recommend it to a friend. Shoulder pads protect the front and top of the shoulder well. Gasket but has coverage almost everywhere. Pads with a more critical strike zone are more massive, with a firmer pad laminated to softer padding relative to the body. The smaller impact areas have quite a bit of padding - not sure if they offer enough protection. The elbow pads are very durable. The abrasion resistance of the fabric is also somewhat disappointing. I've worn it maybe 7 or 8 times and there are visible scuffs/pilling on the back, chest and front shoulders. I wear it under a fleece so it doesn't rub or snag. This would worry me about durability when worn outdoors - like mountain biking or motorcycling, tassel hooks etc. A bit difficult to put on and take off (it would be very helpful to have a zip). I'd like to see it with a bit more padding and some D30 padding in critical areas. The lining can also be a little deeper on the stomach and back. These updates will likely take it from really good to amazing. I haven't tested it for errors yet, so I can't report it. Excuse me :)

Cons
