They're made out of thick paper, so don't expect expensive plastic or composite here. They are perfect for what I need them for. There are no laces to untie them so you have to manually slide them back like an accordion and then use the little clips they give you to secure them. Really small beans. They don't let all the light through which is great and they look cool. The glue seems pretty strong and is holding up well. I also added three buttons at the top in case the glue wouldn't come loose. I live in a small apartment that gets very hot in the summer so the glue will probably melt eventually. Hence the handles. In general a very good product.
