So when I first opened the box I wasn't too happy. If you're looking for a soft, cotton-like fabric, this isn't for you. The duvet wasn't too bad, but I didn't like the pillowcases. They have such a beautiful design but they are not smooth. But after wearing this blanket for a few weeks, I've grown to love it! I usually sleep on duvets anyway so it wasn't that much of a problem and the pillowcases do get a bit softer.To make sleeping more comfortable I went ahead and bought the light blue microfiber sheets which came with the matching pillowcases. Unless you're very good with different fabrics, be sure to google the differences so you know what you're getting yourself into. The addition of microfiber pillowcases has made a huge difference in how comfortable I feel at night, so if you're considering buying this duvet, you might be planning to get other pillows as well. good cases.
