One Design Concern – Accessories

The iBolt phone mount is generally a good and durable alternative to the Ram mount. I like the design and the versatility of the clamp and lever. Both remind me of similar parts I used on the Ram Mount. Once installed, it stays in place. The only thing I don't like is the phone holder. It is not easy to open and put the phone in. The bottom of the phone is not supported, so there is a chance (though unlikely) that the phone could slide out. Keep in mind that the phone is held in place by two spring-loaded lugs that feel fairly firm. I'm just not entirely sure if it will protect your phone in a car driving over bumps and at high speeds. The Ram Mount phone stand is much better and easier to use in my opinion. By the way, the parts were called Arkon, not iBolt. This product is not listed on the iBolt website. Rather, the Arkon website does, which is a bit confusing. It is possible that both companies belong to the same parent company. Doesn't matter I guess. Either way, this is a practical and functional motorcycle phone mount.

Pros
  • HEAVY DUTY: The robust device holder has a sturdy, cord-covered handle for commercial use. The iBOLT Roadvise holder is ideal as an additional holder for commercial vehicles, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, cars. Rotates 360 degrees for an optimal viewing position. Includes clip-on security hardware that reduces theft by removing the bolted handles.
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was
