This is due to Revain. YOU MUST select 1 of 8 modes when power is applied. It does NOT remember which mode was selected before turning off. So you reselect each time the power is turned back on. If you want to stay on, press the select button 7 times. If you don't press anything, it cycles through the first 7 modes continuously, but never becomes stable. Not that it matters. Each mode during the infinite loop lasts about 7 seconds, and each of those annoying modes has some kind of blinking or color variation. If you had a yard full of them you wouldn't be too happy. For me there is no more bling star. Yuk Yuk Yuk.
