Review on 🎨 Melissa & Doug Wooden Art and Activity Table - Kids Furniture for Playroom with 4 Wooden Bins, Light Woodgrain and White 2-Tone Finish by Kim Jones

This table is of a very high quality and well made - easy to assemble and very sturdy. The quality you expect from Melissa and Doug. However, it is a very uncomfortable height and therefore it is very uncomfortable for my children to sit there. Considering the height of the table, the distance from the bottom of the drawers to the floor is only 10.5 inches due to the depth of the drawers. We have Ikea Laat chairs (table replaced with this one) and the seat of this chair is 11 inches so it doesn't fit under the table and certainly doesn't leave room for my kids' legs to get under the table naturally to run. . So I figured I'd try to get Melissa and Doug's chairs to go with him (because they probably fit?), and even their smallest chairs are 11 inches tall, not small enough to fit in. Photos of them in standard 11-inch chairs show them in an awkward position. They are too tall for my 1, 3 or 5 year old to sit on the floor and use them effectively. And too short for the two eldest to stand comfortably (you can see where she stands to play and she feels uncomfortable). However, my 1 year old can stand up and play great on it. All in all, this is a really well made product. Large tabletop for several children. Drawers are very practical and nice to have. But the height doesn't suit us at all. We'll try attaching longer legs to it to make it work.
