This is my fourth ceramic knife from Kyocera and it is brand new. I've used it less than a dozen times. When cutting corn kernels from the cob, it broke off in the middle of the blade (see photo). I didn't cut the cob, just tried to separate the soft corn kernels from the cob. I can understand that using this knife to cut chicken bones can easily break the thin blade. But I never thought that slicing soft, sweet white corn kernels would cause them to crack. Maybe it's a defective knife.
