. First, the instructions say to separate the tank from the filter and top for lubrication. The filter was screwed on so tightly that I couldn't easily remove it. I filled the tank according to the instructions and connected the gas lines. Fuel leaked from a nylon screw on the floor. I tried tightening it and it broke rendering everything unusable. I have two motors running in parallel. One separator is working properly, the other needs to be replaced. I plan to shop locally. TO EDIT. 2 of 2 separators have failed. I had to use teflon in the fittings, but the bowl and top of the filter still leaked no matter how they were adjusted. I used a bowl from my old Honda brand separator but the top of the filter was still leaking. Luckily I bought some 3/8-3/8 barbs to bypass the separators.
