Review on 🚤 Carbhub 18-7350 Fuel Pump for Johnson Evinrude 397839 391638 395091 397274: Reliable Replacement for Seahorse Outboard Engines 1981-1992 by Daniel Elgee

Product arrived very quickly and was exactly as described. The fuel line fittings were at different angles than the original pump resulting in my existing lines being long enough to stretch. This worked but the lines need to be replaced to reduce the stress. Importantly, this item was approximately 1/2 inch thicker than the OEM fuel pump and the existing bolts would not work with a regular gasket. I had to make a washer out of some spares I had at home which was very thin and even with that I was able to turn the bolts 3 or 4. Not checking the thickness of the product was my fault and can easily be loosened with some new screws so don't knock on it. If the fuel line fittings weren't something else I would probably give 5 stars. After I fixed the issues, the engine started and ran. This issue is irrelevant as it was present before the new fuel pump, although not as bad. Overall I'm happy with the purchase, especially since I found the same item on a few other sites for around $100.
