Review on πŸ–±οΈ TECKNET Omni Small Portable 2.4G Wireless Optical Mouse: Compact Design for Laptop, Long Battery Life, 3 Adjustable DPI Levels by Patrick Matin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Small and portable, unobtrusive, handy, fast and precise on many surfaces.

This review is about a small portable TeckNet Omni 2.4G wireless optical mouse with a USB nano receiver. The mouse comes with instructions and a warranty card that allows you to extend the warranty by 2 years. The mouse opens on the back where the receiver and battery are located. The mouse is slightly textured on the sides to provide a comfortable tactile and control experience. Left and right click are sensitive and different. The wheel spins with a light touch and has distinct clicks/grooves. When I first received the mouse, I put in the battery and was rewarded with a blinking green power LED to let me know it was powered on. It was good. A single AA battery is installed at an angle, allowing a large battery to fit in a small mouse. According to the user manual, the battery should last 18 months. I put a freshly charged 1900mA battery in, let's see. The mouse has a low profile, so the tilt angle of my hand to the table is small. I like it. The mouse fits in the palm of my hand, not super tiny but not big either, and the size suits me as I have small hands with short fingers. I like the handy DPI button and adjustable DPI levels (2000/1500). /1000). This makes it easy to toggle sensitivity on the fly, and when pressed, the green LED will flash to let you know your DPI. 1=1000, 2=1500, 3=2000. I usually have it at 2000, but when I need precision I click a lower DPI. I'm using this on a Windows 10 laptop that I travel with. When connecting the receiver, the mouse is connected immediately. I then adjusted the DPI to my liking. After a few hours of using the mouse, I'm quite satisfied. I am currently using a mouse on a denim tabletop. Speed and accuracy are good. I also used the mouse a bit on paper at another table, then on a bare tabletop... I found the response speed to be the same. Today I moved quite a bit and had no problems. I was able to put the mouse in a laptop sleeve due to the low profile and I'm happy about that! I simply plugged the receiver back into the mouse and dropped the mouse into the case. Hooray!
