These blocks have both advantages and disadvantages. First the positive. They dissipate heat well. They didn't collapse as quickly as others like Griot's Garage. Now the negatives. They threw way more product than any other type of pad I've used. Maybe it's cuts on the pads? I do not know. But it wasn't because I used too much or too little product, or that the speed was too high. This was done with thick cutting paste and thin polish, at low or high speeds. I have experienced a lot of product pilling (3M) with these pads, which is rare and requires more work than necessary. Generally these will suffice if you can't afford 3M pads.
