Review on Etna Pet Play Pen Large by Melinda Phillips

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My ferrets love this playpen

I got this playpen for my ferrets about 8 months ago. I was skeptical of how well it could handle an 8 or 9 fluff onslaught, especially since the zippered door had an open seam on arrival. I was desperate at the time - I needed this to protect the critters while moving - so I patched the seam with mint dental floss (it seems furries don't like mint so they never tried to pull the dental floss out) - and all that batch uploaded. in. You would think they were staying at the Holiday Inn - my kids loved it. And it survived. actually survived - I tend to spoil my "kids", they have their own room with a pair of interconnected three tier ferret cages inside, two outside cages and a 6'x10' wire playpen outside. But I still use this handle all the time - fluffies love to "sleep" in the living room when we have two-legged kids, it keeps them from being crushed by rough handling and keeps the kids away from their stuff. uh, borrowed. (Fonzie also has a little ear fetish). So everyone is happy. I was concerned about putting them outside as the bottom is nylon fabric and I could see claw holes even after a night out, not bad but holes are never good. To fix this I covered the inside and outside of the bottom and all the seams with a coat of plastic spray. It took me two full cans, but now it's waterproof - YES! - and I feel better about the integrity of the seams. Besides, it still works the same. I am currently planning to invest in a larger model as they love it so much but I have absolutely no regrets about this purchase. Interestingly, I've tried bringing cats, kittens and puppies in here - it didn't work too well because these critters really hated it. But no one escaped, so that does the job.
