needs to be ordered at least 1 size up but maybe 2. I wanted XXL (18) to get it next fall over sweaters and things to wear, but instead it suits him right now. It seems to fit more like 14 or 14 Max -16 after washing and drying. I haven't used hot on any of them, but they still shrink, and I absolutely refuse to dry my baby clothes just because companies don't pre-shrink their fabrics before production. So if you really need 18 I say skip that and find something better but if you can only buy a size or two, these jackets are really cute nice and soft inside and seems like a nice warm jacket for spring. Also this price is worth a try.
