Review on πŸ”ͺ Shapton Ceramic KUROMAKU #1500 Whetstone Sharpening Stone by Aaron Cruz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent value for money, especially when you know where it fits into your sharpening world.

This 1500 grit stone makes an excellent intermediate stone. I use it most often when my Chosera 3000 is too slow to repair, or as part of my stone progression after my 600 Chosera when re-beveling or repairing chips. Splash-n-go, a suitcase that's also simple and great value for money. I really like these Shapton stones. I highly recommend using it either as the final stone before sharpening or as a sharpening stone for something like 5000 or 6000 grit as the final stone. Fantastic value for money, works on most steels I've used from M390 to BD1N and regular X50CrMoV. If you're considering it instead of the usual 1000 grit, I recommend it.
